Welcome to October! We have just experienced the equinox and as we go into the end of 2023, we are in the time of the veil getting thinner and thinner. This week the moon is waning as we are coming off the courageous Full Moon in Aries. The Full Moon last week was the final Supermoon event for 2023 and was a bold energy that will still be felt as we begin this week. We may have had experiences directly bringing awareness to our short-comings and selfishness when it comes to relationships. With the Karmic nodes involved with Libra and Aries energy for the next few years there is a straining energy that will be felt within our energy, we are using the past to recognise how we love and relate to others and make moves going forward.
On the 3rd of October, Mercury in Virgo will directly oppose Neptune Retrograde in Pisces. As mentioned in previous horoscopes, this long-term Neptune in Pisces transit has been opening our compassion for the group and may also be removing our boundaries to spirituality and all things mystical. Things may be unclear in what is being said, especially for the next few weeks with this opposition energy. Neptune is sextile Uranus retrograde and Pluto retrograde, providing community connection and aide whilst we internally transmute and awaken. We are being provided with assistance so we can move through this energy using our intuitions. This is a murky and passive energy affecting the greater world right now as the outer planets are helping out Neptune at this time. Whilst, the details are showing one way, we need to tune into making foundational change and allowing it shift and morph our lives. Mercury in Virgo can be highly strung, what we are worrying and focusing on may not even amount to anything with this opposing energy, stay the course and hold on through this time, love.
On the 5th of October, Mercury will ingress into Libra. Mercury will join the Sun, Mars and the South Node all in Venus ruled, Libra. This collection of influence in Venusian energy is shifting our awareness to ways we have acted from shadow in relationships, where we have put others harmony and happiness before our own. We are confronted with the results of doing this to ourselves. Mercury in Libra will trine Uranus retrograde in Taurus and Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. There is awakenings occurring in relationships and especially in business and finances. We could be finding ways to hold our ideals and find new resolved connections now as Venus finishes out her transit through Leo. Mercury will provide focus and intuitive guidance to come through others and our relationships with the shift into Libra. I can expect that the Libra area of your Natal Chart to be high in priority for your mental focus for the next 30 or so days. Mars in Libra will conjoin the South Node in Libra just before Mercury moves into the Venusian sign, at 2am on the 5th. Mars with the South Node is a double separating energy, but Mars is not comfortable in Libra so this may not be a classic ending. We are moving away from a relational focus, we may be aware of unhealthy obsession and be making mental awareness of needing to leave this behind. This energy is allowing us to use what we have learnt during Venus Retrograde this year, straight away, to move away from what no longer serves. Our relationships are being upgraded with this energy, and there is help for going forward into a more positive place.
On Friday, the 6th we will see the Moon in Cancer square the Sun of the 3rd Quarter Square, providing an energy of completion. The Moon is trine to Saturn Retrograde, our bodies may be well aware of the toll that stress is having on our bodies with this energy. During this 3rd quarter square, we are urged to release for the betterment of future cycles. We have done all we can over the last month and as we approach the dark moon stages we are tired and really need to rest and set our sights on the future and what October has in store for us. With that said, next week will actually be a big one! We will see Venus finally leave Leo on, Monday the 9th of October next week.
Since June 6th, Venus in Leo and the Retrograde cycle has encouraged a shift of our inner values systems and ideals surrounding success and being seen. We will complete this Venusian lesson, for now, in the Nostalgic and proud sign and move forward into caring and pure Virgo. Venus in Virgo will see rearranging of our connections, and whilst Virgo brings a mercurial focus, Mercury is currently in Libra. Rather than the usual, worried and perfectionistic Venus in Virgo transit we will usually experience every 2 years, things will feel more harmonious. There is a beautiful mutual reception experienced during this time, between Mercury and Venus. The two planets will be sharing their energy to allow for a focus and stimulating energy to enter all relationships. We may be more willing to hear each other out, and this would be a great time to collaborate and share ideas with those you work with.
Next week, also on the 9th of October, Mars in Libra will square Pluto Retrograde in Capricorn. This will be a big and restrictive energy for how we are moving forward and making decisions for healing and transformation of our internal structures. This energy is helping us to utilise what we have to show up for the right people and the right causes. There may be an awareness and an overstretching of our energy for the benefit of Relationships and Harmony. What came up during Mars in Cancer opposite Pluto Retrograde, think back to 1st - 20th of May this year, what decisions were made? Paths taken will begin feel like a surmounting pressure now on relationships and overall well-being. We are testing now the compromise that was made.
Pluto will also station direct next week and Mars will leave the stagnant south node in the late degrees of Libra and enter her home in Scorpio!! Our energy will be revitalised for transmutation and passion to make the moves we need to make at this time.
